Shelton State to Host Preview Events on Fredd and Martin Campuses
October 18, 2024 – Shelton State Community College will offer previews of all health services and technical programs on the Fredd and Martin Campuses. Interested students may register at Shelton State Preview Events by searching their selected campus.
Preview Night on the Fredd Campus will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m. Preview Night on the Martin Campus will be Thursday, November 14 at 6:00 p.m. Check-in for each event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Registration is encouraged.
As Tuscaloosa’s community college, Shelton State provides career opportunities and a true college town experience. Opportunities are available in various technical and health services programs on both campuses. Programs at the Martin Campus include air conditioning and refrigeration, business office management and technology, computerized numerical control, diesel mechanics, electrical technology, engineering graphics and design technology, nursing, industrial electronics, industrial maintenance, machine tool technology, modern manufacturing, salon and spa management, welding, and wellness. Programs at the Fredd Campus include automotive service technology, child development, computer science, culinary arts, health information technology, medical laboratory technician, and respiratory therapy.

These events allow students to become more familiar with available opportunities which leads to excitement rather than anxiety. It is gratifying to see students discover our technical and health services programs as options they may never have previously considered.”
In addition to learning more about career opportunities, guests will be able to apply for admission to the College, receive financial aid and scholarship information, and discover more about student engagement at Shelton State.
