Instant Admit Days

Welcome to Shelton State Community College (SSCC)! The selection of a college is one of the most important decisions you will make. We are excited you have chosen Shelton State. Shelton State Instant Admit Days are designed to help students complete all parts of the admission process in a single session.

Attendees will be able to apply for admission, complete a FAFSA application for financial aid, speak with an advisor, and register for classes.   Prospective students are asked to bring high school/college transcripts, ACT/SAT scores (if applicable), and 2022 tax returns to determine financial aid options.  Campus tours will also be available.

Shelton State Instant Admit Day is an exciting opportunity for you and will be your first student experience on campus.

Note:  Students are strongly encouraged to apply for admission and financial aid prior to prior to attending Shelton State Instant Admit Day.  Students who submit an admission application on the day of the event may experience longer wait times for processing. At Shelton State Instant Admit Days, students will accomplish the following:

• Connect with other incoming students and families
• Develop new and lasting friendships
• Engage with current college students
• Meet SSCC faculty and staff
• Learn about various resources and services
• Select and register for courses with advisors

How to sign up for Instant Admit Days

*Prospective students who plan to enroll fall semester, excluding dual enrollment and international students, are invited to attend Instant Admit Days.

1. Students must have already submitted an application for admission.
2. Review the Instant Admit Days dates and locations below.
3. Check your email for the Instant Admit Days invitation. Follow the steps in the email or log into your Application Portal (you created a username and password for this at the time of application).
4. Click on the “myEvents” tab.
5. Select Event Type: “Admit Day”
6. Select a date and time that best fits your schedule.
7. Check your email for a confirmation email.
8. Monitor your email regularly for instructions leading up to the event date!
