Student Life

The Office of the Dean of Student Services supervises all student activities that are designed to complement the instructional mission of the College and enhance the student experience. For information about student activities, please contact the Office of the Dean of Student Services.

Dropping a Course or Withdrawing from Classes

Withdrawing from any or all courses may adversely impact a student’s short and long term financial aid eligibility. Any student withdrawing from his/her last course (completely withdrawing from school) must first consult with an advisor in the Advising Center (advising@sheltonstate.edu) or a navigator in the SOAR Institute (soarinstitute@sheltonstate.edu).   A student’s advisor/navigator will review the student’s schedule and then discuss the Complete Withdrawal form and the Withdrawal Process with the student. Students receiving financial aid must also consult with a staff member in the Office of Financial Aid.
