PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

What is the program?
The Automotive Technology program is designed for students with prior automotive knowledge or experience, and will prepare them to meet the challenge of today’s technology by taking them through a thorough training program. After completing this program, graduates will be able to diagnose, service, and repair systems on today’s modern automobile, including the fuel injection, emission control, and computer systems.
 
When is the program offered?
Courses are taught year round during the day. Evening classes will be offered as the need arises.
 
What awards does the program lead to and how long does it take?
Students may earn a Certificate. Students enrolled full-time may complete a Certificate in as little as three to four semesters (12 to 18 months).
 
What requirements do I need in order to enroll?
A student must have a high school diploma or GED certificate in order to enter this program.
 
What jobs will this program prepare me for?
Entrance level as an automotive technician. All students will be offered the opportunity to become ASE (National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence) certified before they graduate from the program.
