Shelton State’s Community Education program offers short term, non-credit courses to meet the changing needs of the people in the west Alabama area.  
Whether you are looking for a new career path or add value to your current employment skills, we have the classes that work for you. Please contact us about classes that you would like to see offered or that you may be interested in teaching.


Short term non-credit courses designed for people who are looking for a new  career. 
They focus on specific fields of study, and most are preparing you to sit for a national board exam in that field. 
 The courses range from 50-216 hours of classroom instruction, and some have clinical externships.
