CSC Mission Statement

The primary mission of  the Career Services Center of Shelton State Community College is to give all students and alumni the opportunity and guidance to explore and choose their career paths and to prepare them for the workforce through training and well- developed job search skills.

The Career Services Center at Shelton State Community College helps students reach career goals through a three step process. The Career Center can help with any of the following.

Explore

Students are encouraged to explore career options and create a career action plan.  The Focus 2 assessment is used to increase self-understanding and help match students with careers.

Prepare

Preparation includes resume/cover letter critiques and mock interviews.  Career and etiquette advising are also available as well as opportunities to network and attend career fairs. 

Succeed

Student success after Shelton State Community College is a priority for the staff of the Career Center.  This link also offers current job postings within the community.
